Company History

Feinberg Consulting was started in 1996 by Pam Feinberg-Rivkin who has been a nurse since 1977.  With an array of experience in the health care field as a nurse, Pam Feinberg-Rivkin searched for a way to utilize her potential.   Pam Feinberg-Rivkin had the experience and certifications as a rehabilitation nurse and case manager.   She began her consulting business with ten clients.  Initially, the case management services were provided by the owner for individuals who sustained catastrophic auto and workers’ compensation injuries.  Over the ensuing years, Pam Feinberg-Rivkin has continued to hire additional case managers to meet the needs of our clients to include:  life care planning, chronic disease management, disability management, and most recently comprehensive elder care management.

 

The growth that Feinberg Consulting has achieved since 1996 demonstrates the effectiveness and objectivity of our case management services. Feinberg Consulting receives referrals for case management from a variety of sources which include: insurance carriers, physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, self-referrals, and attorneys.  Therefore, our practice strives to maintain an objective perspective in coordination of care for our clients.  Per Case Management Guidelines, our case managers are advocates for our clients in their care and recovery.

 

Effective October 1, 2009, Feinberg Consulting implemented a mentorship program to further bolster our quality of work.  Veteran Case Managers will provide the mentorship for newly hired case managers in their training with Feinberg Consulting.  This will ensure fostering the highest quality of case management services to our clients and customers.  This will also provide an ongoing educational component for all case managers to grow in greater knowledge for delivery of case management services for our clients.

 

In hiring to meet the individual client’s needs, the case managers are carefully selected with many of the case managers having 20-30 years experience in the health care field.  When the case managers are hired with Feinberg Consulting, they either already have a certification in case management (CCM) or are eligible to take the examination within one year of hire.  Many of our case managers have additional certifications as well, which demonstrates the ongoing continuing education and professionalism expected as a member of the Feinberg Consulting team.

 

While the majority of our consultants are in the Southeastern region of Michigan, we have expanded to Ohio and Florida and look to grow in areas that are in need of our comprehensive services.
